Final Project

 I chose the Kardashian family and how they use social media to promote their brand. The Kardashian's have many different strategies to their approach on promoting themselves. they know that their fans are important. The Kardashian family came up with the idea to give their fans a shout out and that's when Tumblr Tuesday's came about, featuring a different fan every Tuesday. The Kardashian's are take over social media one tweet at a time. They also use Facebook to advertise free giveaways to the fans/followers.
 The Kardashian Facebook page focus on their Kardashian Kollection, which features clothing line, home decor, shoes, hand bags, shoes and etc. the Facebook page displays different photos from their many Kollection, and it allows their fans/Facebook friends to comment on their different styles. It also allow the fans/Facebook friends to view photos of the Kardashians wearing the Kollection themselves. The page also gives you the opportunity  to see new and upcoming things they have coming out and also to promote the different contest they have to get the fans involved.
 They also use Instagram for just about everything. they not only use it to show their everyday life and meals they might be eating, but they also take pictures and post them on their Instagram of the different brands and upcoming business adventures. They also use something that is very new called Keek. Even though this site is very new the Kardashian family is already on board and using their brand to promote it. The Kardashian family are a social media powerhouse. They have five tips on how they reached their $65 million brand. Tip one is to be relatable, tip two is extend your brand as far as you can (and then even further), tip three is to connect with the consumer through social media, tip four is collaborate with winners and tip five is to make the most out of the good and bad. The Kardashian's use these five tips and they get the job done. Social media has become a major phenomenon for companies, individuals and other entities to promote their brand. Facebook is one of the major social media sites that is being used for this purpose. Just as the Kardashian's used Facebook to promote their Kardashian Kollection's you can also do the same to promote your brand. You will begin by creating a Facebook account, write a description about your brand, post photos of what your brand is about and let the consumers get to know your brand better.
 They've managed to brand their entire family. The head of the Kardashian family branding team  is mom Kris Jenner. She has successfully cultivated a name for the family brand and transformed it into a multi-million dollar empire. Each family member started to build their own personal brand and their mother/manager has found a niche for the whole family to get involved in which is their hit show "Keeping up with the Kardashian's." The Kardashian's use social media to subconsciously educate their new generation of fans/followers that share their ups and downs, giving the audience what they crave for. Some say the Kardashian's are creating a generation of "digital marcissistics." With is being said the Kardashian family brand is expanding bigger and bigger everyday.

Facebook

I choose this organization because I love to help those with special needs. With the Buddy Club I was given the opportunity to do that. We helped them with homework and just learning how to function throughout a full school day. We also did different activities with them like gym time, outdoor adventures and also a special olympics field day. Working with these kids opened my life in a new light and made me realize that if these kids could smile and have fun with all the things they havin going on from their health to mental abilities then I should be able to do the same thing while I'm perfectly healthy.The Buddy club is a great experience and I will forever be glad I was apart of such a great organization.

Sample Screencast


In this video he will be demonstrating how to chop a YouTube video to just the part you want and then embed it into Microsoft PowerPoint. He takes you step by step on what to do after you have found the video you want to chop and the site you would go to for chopping the video time length. Its easier to show this demonstration in screen-cast rather than a text demonstration. With screen-cast you have a visual and can see what the person is actually click and going to. With text based demonstration you would have to really know the terminology the person is using and know where each thing is that they are clicking or going to. In this type of learning I think screen-cast is the best route.

My Favorite Video On Youtube

    I chose this video because I am a sucker for love. I think if someone has the time to plan out such an amazing proposal the way he did, then you are truly loved. I'm in a point in my relationship that we are talking about marriage and I could only hope to have an awesome proposal like that. Watching the video for the first time bring tears to my eyes cause I felt the love and excitement in the air.




Too this day I still get that same feeling, I hope when you finish watching you feel the same love that I felt for the video.

Favorite Website

My all time favorite website would have to be forever21.com. I love clothes and shopping. I can go to this site and be one there for hours at a time whether I'm shopping or just looking to see what new fashion they have. I love the whole set up of the site. They allow you to to look at a look book to see different items put together and styles you may be interested in and allow you to buy them just how you see it in the look book. Overall I think its a great site.
